Middle school science classes at Christ The King Regional School are based on a comprehensive, inquiry-based curriculum that explores topics in life, physical science, earth science, scientific reasoning, and technology using a hands-on approach through experimentation, reading, and demonstrations. The National Science Education Standards and the Diocese Standards are used as benchmarks throughout the curriculum.

Our newly renovated science lab boasts a state-of-the-art multimedia video projection system that allows students to view images projected onto a large screen generated by the computer or wall mounted VCR or DVD. Our life science activities are further enhance by the use of our Digital Microscope that provides the teacher with the unique opportunity of sharing a slide specimen with the entire class at once and thus enabling the teacher to communicate the techniques employed in viewing the microscope specimen so that the students better comprehend what is expected of them. The students can simultaneously use their new cordless LED illuminated microscopes to observe the slides with a better understanding of the specimen being studied.

Our lab is equipped with compound microscopes, stereomicroscopes, triple beam balances, hot plates, refrigerator, sinks and all the necessary lab ware, and consumables.

The third floor location of the large classroom is both bright and airy while large enough to provide an adequate workspace for all students, Christ the King can provide your child with one of the most up to date middle school science labs in the area. We would like to think that we here at Christ the King School have created a science classroom/lab that is an exciting place to learn. And it is in this technology-enhanced classroom that we hope to reach one of our goals, which is to prepare students for the science programs that they will encounter in High School. We feel very fortunate and blessed to have such a nice facility!
