The Arts
Students take weekly classes in music and art.
Art Class
In art class, students engage in hands-on activities that make connections to holidays, religious feasts and other curriculum-related areas. The class explores the finer aspects of artistic expression, and students are encouraged to display their own talents. Student work is regularly showcased in the art studio and throughout the school. Local and national art contests are included in the program. Student work has appeared in the area calendar, state Arts-4-Teens program and local libraries. The major techniques of instruction are demonstration, modeling, small group instruction and cooperative learning activities.
