Without volunteers like you, we would not be able to offer the exciting athletic programs that are available to students of CKRS. For the safety of our students all Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Parents and any parent having direct contact with students during games, practices or at any team activity must complete the following steps before they can participate in any team sport or act as facilitator of a sporting event. 1. VIRTUS Certification 2. Fingerprinting 3. CPR Training (at CKRS) 4. Rutgers Safety Course Certification 5. Concussion Certification (On-Line)
Virtus, Fingerprinting, CPR, Rutgers SAFTEY Certification and Concussion Certification information. 1) VIRTUS CERTIFICATIONPlease contact Mrs. Donna Bigos for further information fingerprinting and Virtus Certification
2) FINGERPRINTING Fingerprinting is required by the Diocese of Camden for all teachers, coaches (assistants and team parents), employees and volunteers having contact with children. Fingerprinting can be done through IdentGO of Cherry Hill. Please access through IdentGO link provided. You can schedule your fingerprinting appointment through the site. You will need to provide an Originating Agency Number which is "NJ9206102" for "Youth Serving Organization". Please provide a completed report to the CKRS Front Office. Do not send a completed report to the Athletics Department. Allow four weeks for report completion after fingerprinting appointment. https://www.identogo.com/locations/08033 3) CPR CERTIFICATIONCPR Certification is provided once a year, generally in October, at CKRS. Those who have already completed CPR training and Certification muse provide have a copy of their certification card to Athletic Department. All CPR training re-certifications are based on the rules of the Diocese of Camden.
4) RUTGERS SAFETY COURSE CERTIFICATION The Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth) is a three-hour program that meets the "Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs" (N.J.A.C. 5:52) and provides partial civil immunity ptotection to volunteer coaches under the "Little League Law" (2A:62A-6 et. seq.). Please provide a course completion letter to the Athletic Department as soon as course is completed. Access Safety Clinic schedule via link below: 5. CONCUSSION TRAINING COURSEMany of the area leagues are requiring Coaches and Assitant Coaches to become Concussion Certified. Below is a great on-line concussion training course that is free.
